Speaking of issues specific to Black America, particularly Black men, Green Party candidates for elected office have been speaking out against police violence directed towards Black men. It is a pretty sad day when White and Hispanic women and men can openly discuss the need to address this problem while a Black president ignores it.

MoveOn is targeting Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO telling him to stop selling to stop supplying and selling high capacity magazines for assault rifles. It wasn’t that long ago that Black Talk Radio reported that one of the Dick’s Sporting Goods stores in Charlotte refused to sell a rifle to a Black man and his wife. Where was MoveOn at that time?

American hurdler Lolo Jones is upset with a New York Times article questioning why she has received so much more media coverage and corporate support when more deserving female athletes were shunned. Lolo misses the point entirely while she has one wWhite parent and one Black parent, she seems ignorant to the cultural bias of corporate America. There is also another lesson, hard work, values and perseverance does not always lead to reward if you are Black in America.
