Getting Justice for Trayvon Martin

Joining me tonight are two bloggers who were so moved by the tragic injustice committed against Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed by Sanford vigilante George Zimmerman that they decided to start a Facebook page to keep people updated on the story. Virginia and Deborah created and manage the Facebook page “Justice for Trayvon Martin” which was started on March 9, 2012 and has acquired hundreds of subscribers to it's feed.

The Justice for Trayvon Martin Facebook page says "The goal here is to bring news stories together regarding this case" and "This Page is not to promote Hate but to Seek Justice for Trayvon Martin".

Sign the Petition - "Prosecute the killer of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin"

The Bible, Distortions & African People

Joining me tonight from the U.K to discuss his studies of the Bible and who are the real Israelites today is Rabbi Simon Altaf. He says he will point out how Black Africans living in Israel were the original chosen people and how a race of gentiles today has usurped the title of God's chosen people. He also says his research shows that the chosen people were once living in Ghana in the Songhe and Mali empires.

Ending the Drug War w/ Terry Nelson

Retired Customs and Border Protection Aviation/Marine Group Supervisor Terry L. Nelson joins me on the program tonight to discuss ending Drug Prohibition.

Terry Nelson's law-enforcement career spanned three decades. It included service in the US Border Patrol, the US Customs Service, and the Department of Homeland Security, taking him beyond the US borders into Mexico, Central America, and South America. In various capacities, he acquired first-hand knowledge of the war on drugs through his direct involvement with counter-narcotics missions. He labored with distinction, even receiving special Congressional recognition for his work.

"But," he says, "as the 'War on Drugs' went on and on, I never saw any visible progress - and only limited discussion about the lack of progress. Something was wrong with this picture." Terry came to understand drug prohibition was doing more harm than good, and that the United States needed a major policy change. He had thought a lot about decriminalization and legalization for years.
