Chicago street violence unchecked w/ Mark Clements

DOWNLOAD PODCAST

Mark Clements of Chicago based Campaign to End the Death Penalty and contributor to Black Talk Radio joins us to discuss the record pace of murders in Chicago. Mark and others believe that Illinois & Chicago politicians are failing to address the war zones that exist in Chicago communities.

15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton is among the latest victims and died after she was shot in the back while hanging out with a group of teens in Vivian Gordon Harsh Park about 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

Chicago already has strict gun legislation but obviously it has not impacting the amount of violence occurring. If you were Mayor of Chicago what are some things you might do to curb the violence?

The Black community is under assault in Los Angeles with a wave of anti-Black violence hitting the city which authorities blame on Latino gangs attempting to drive Black residents out of the city.

The Los Angeles Times reports,

"Federal authorities have alleged in several indictments in the last decade that the Mexican Mafia prison gang has ordered street gangs under its control to attack African Americans.

Leaders of the Azusa 13 gang were sentenced to lengthy prison terms earlier this month for leading a policy of attacking African American residents and expelling them from the town."

The misuse of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's legacy continues with NewsOne putting out information on Facebook that Dr. King, despite facing daily threats of violence never carried a gun. The thing is, this is not entirely true.

Campaign to end legalized slavery w/ Prison Slavery Abolitionist Lee Wood

DOWNLOAD PODCAST

Update on the social media campaign to give President Obama an opportunity to argue for or against ending human trafficking through the Private Prison trade within the United States and all occupied territories.

Mr. Lee Wood describes himself as an Prison Slavery Abolitionist and somewhat of a historian on the subject. He has had 50 plus years to observe the US prison system.

Read his book Free Online Prison Slavery

He created a Change.org petition months before the Black Talk Media Project launched its own media campaign to get President Obama to address the institution of slavery the nation has wickedly permitted for hundreds of years by removing the slavery exception clause from the 13th Amendment.

But his petition does not just address the United States but all the United Nations member states as well because UN sponsored treaties also contain the slavery exception clause.
