Ending the Drug War w/ Michael Gilbert (LEAP) II

Former Corrections Official Mike Gilbert visits the program again. He is currently an associate professor of criminal justice, teaching a wide range of courses at the University of Texas - one of which involves the study of drugs, drug laws, and the association between drugs and crime. He is also actively involved with two justice-related advisory boards in the San Antonio area. I will ask Prof. Gilbert his thoughts on the use of jury nullification to prevent non-violent drug convictions. Will update you on the case of Ed Forchion aka NJ WeedMan which went to jury deliberation today. Will also discuss GOP Newsletter calling for Revolution if Obama wins Re-election, a Youtube Survivalist video features a paper gun target called "Obama Zombie". Proff. Gilbert comes to us via LEAP. Their prime purpose as an organization is to make presentations and foster discussion about responsible alternatives to the War on Drugs. For a real understanding of what LEAP is all about, view the 13 minute “Cops Say Legalize Drugs” video at http://www.leap.cc/watch-a-video/
